Serta Pet Beds

I couldn't be more excited to share some of the fun images we got during a commercial shoot for Serta Pet Beds! Their new and jazzy website is now live! I for one know just how great these beds look and feel. I spent hours and hours stuffing them, setting them up, photographing them, and yes, lying down in them (they are super-comfy...I'd rather sleep in them than my bed!). Without further ado, here are the stunning models showing off their favorite beds...Commercial Dog PhotographerSerta Pet Beds Photo ShootCharlotte NC Pet PhotographerI really love the True Timber line. See that little black paw down there? Yep, that's my little Sadie's paw. She was so patient while we got her leg at just the right angle. I'm so proud! :)Pet PortraitsIf your pup has what it takes for commercial work (VERY well-trained, fit, etc), stay tuned to my Facebook page because I have model calls on a regular basis. :)

Charlie

I just love it when a dog full of personality and spunk comes into the studio! Meet my latest playful pal, Charlie. I have to start this post with one of my favorite images...a profile shot of his amazing beard... Charlotte NC Pet PhotographerCharlie needed a little time to warm up to the flashes, but he quickly realized he could get treats for his good modeling skills. :)Charlotte NC Dog PhotographerDog Portraits in StudioHis adorable head tilt...Miniature Schnauzer in studioAfter some serious shots, it was time to pull out his favorite toys! This one is named Beethoven. Luke - Studio Session

Luke is a big ol' puppy with paws as large as my hands. I'm guessing he'll be a 90-pounder or so? When he came into the studio, I had to document all of his puppy goodness. I figured I'd give it a go with some video! As most of you know, I've really been playing around with video and trying to learn everything I can. This was a new experience in and of itself. Shot inside with only available lighting, I quickly realized I'll need to invest in some continuous video lighting if I want to replicate the look of the still images in the studio. Either way, we had a ton of fun and we ended up with a super-cute promo video. I especially love the end...

And I'm sure you'd like to see a closer look of Luke's still images. Gertie - Studio Session

Who doesn't love a Frenchie? Seriously. If you are one of the few that don't, perhaps Gertie here will help change your mind. Gertie is just a pup...9 months old to be exact. And trust me, she had the energy to prove her puppiness (yeah, I made up a word). She had me on my toes! She was here and there and everywhere and I loved every minute of it! Check out this pretty Blue Fawn Pied funny face during her studio session...

Charlotte NC Dog PhotographyThis face is too much...Frenchie Portrait on Seamless BackgroundNow when I say that Gertie loves balls. I mean LOVES balls - any size, color, texture, whatever!! Here are some examples to prove my point:

Cosmo - Studio Session

Welcome to Part II of Cosmo's session! A few weeks ago, Cosmo did her thing for me during her on-location session. Her next step in the spotlight? Well, a studio session of course!

In front of the flashes, she blew me away again! All it took was a little bribing with treats and she began to give me her signature looks. The big lights didn't even phase her. Yeah, she's ready for stardom...

Skyler - Studio Session

I have a soft spot for the grey-faced beauties. (So why can't I get over the fact that I've found grey hairs on my own head?) Anyway, I've found that the grey-haired pups have such soul and a really special connection with their people. That connection has been made even stronger in Skyler's case. She was diagnosed with cancer and her mom, a wonderful vet at Independence Veterinary Clinic, obviously has given her the best care in the world. The love between these two is amazing and Skyler has the smile to prove it...

Shyla + Laynie - Studio Session

We are in the middle of a nasty snow storm here in Charlotte. Reasons like this, and honestly because I hate the cold, is why I love having the option for studio sessions. These are perfect for these cold, winter months that aren't so pretty as well as the dog days of summer when it's unbearable to be outside (doesn't that seem so far away?). We can curl up in the studio, relax and not worry about the rain, snow or temperatures out the front door. Sweet! Shyla and Laynie spent an evening in the studio with me and I just fell in love with these shorties. They had sweet little personalities and, I swear, they smiled for their group shot...

Linus - Studio Session

Linus is a little superstar in this neck of the woods. He's a therapy dog, master of all tricks, and one handsome show-off. Oh, and he does his fair share of modeling for me. ;) So here are some of the fancy moves Linus worked for me in the studio...
