It’s Monday you guys! It’s the start to a new week, new beginnings, new attitude…a new sunny day. I say we start this week off on a positive note and dive right into highlighting a shoot I’ve been wanting to do since I moved to Greenville.
Some of you that follow me on Instagram may know that I live in a tiny little condo that backs up to Fluor Field - the baseball field for the Greenville Drive. I don’t have the typical view from a condo in a downtown area. Nope! I don’t have a skyline view, I don’t look right into another building’s windows, and I don’t peer down at a city park. Instead, I overlook a baseball field. And let me tell you…it’s not *just* a baseball field. It has a little something special.
That little something is a bouncy, exuberant Boxer that caught my eye playing out on the field just days after I moved in. She was running around in that hoppy way that only Boxers do and I instantly fell in love with her. Thankfully, that one day of seeing her turned into weeks and, eventually, months. It became clear she belonged to the groundskeeper and she would come to work everyday with him. Seeing her was the highlight of my day and she ALWAYS brought a smile to my face - even from afar.
During the months and months of Covid and not being able to do photo shoots, I dreamed of doing a session with this Boxer. I had plenty of time to brainstorm about how the pictures would look and the theme of “taking your dog to work”. Magically, the stars aligned and I finally got to make that dream a reality.
I learned that this Boxer’s name was Muda, short for Bermuda - the perfect name for a groundskeeper’s dog. She adores her dad and spends her days chasing the Gator, fetching baseballs, running in the sprinklers, and barking at the equipment.
I introduce you to Muda - the dog that runs Fluor Field and the special Boxer that, without knowing, got me through quarantine..
