Seamus and Wallace
I'm one lucky gal! Seamus and Wallace's session marks the second time I've had the honor of photographing two Westies together. This time, they came all the way from Myrtle Beach for their session! Seamus and Wallace are a brother/sister duo with tons of personality! The moment they stepped out of the car, I knew they would be an amazing pair to photograph (especially with their super cute Westie collars on). Seamus, the brother, has human-like eyes and totally didn't want to move away from the camera lens. Wallace, the sister, was way more interested in exploring. However, after their trip, they were ready to run free and stretch their legs...

Both Seamus and Wallace's tails are a little longer than most Westies. I think it's cute and makes them unique. I also love how Wallace's left ear flops when she runs!
Their parents are rockstars for making such a long trip! We're hoping to schedule a beach session next time I'm in Emerald Isle! How fun would that be?!?!

Toward the end of the session, Wallace did what she does best - finds something dead to roll in. She probably had the car stinkin' during the trip home!!

Luka and Lacey
Surprise sessions are the best and I just love the excitement that surrounds the news when the secret is revealed! I recently had the pleasure of photographing 2 totally kissable Westies as a surprise gift for their 2-legged dad. Not only was the session special because of the Christmas holiday, but because we wanted to document our main model, Luka, in a very loving way. A tumor was recently discovered on his liver and, of course, the news was devastating to his family. Fortunately, his energy is still fantastic and you can't even tell that he is ill. Our session revolved around him and this charmer was beyond thrilled!
Luka had a blast exploring Fisher Farm. He had the biggest grin on his face the whole time and his smile is so contagious!
What’s so great about exploring a field if you don’t get drop for an oh-so-good back scratching?
Luka stepped aside for a few moments and let his sis, Lacey *literally* sneak up for a shot. ;)
And he even shared the spotlight with his pretty momma…

I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to document this special boy on such a wonderful day. Luka's dad was definitely surprised because as he unwrapped his Coffee Table Album, happy tears began to fall. They even sent me a picture of him posing with his album. I love what I do. :)

Francis - Wily Westie
When I found out that one of my latest clients was going to be a Westie, I was beyond excited. When I saw the weather forecast was full of sunshine for days around our session date, I was on cloud nine! Could it be more perfect?!? Well, Francis, the adorable little Westie seen below, had different plans. Honestly, she was not keen of the camera AT ALL. Francis' mom got a little preview the week before our session when some other photographers were at her house shooting for a designer's portfolio. They wanted Francis in the images but she was NOT having it! Lol! When I arrived, no amount of treats, toys, funny noises, or cuddles were going to convince her that the "big black eye" was ok. She used every opportunity she found to sneak back in the house or turn her back to the camera. However, with patience and some sneaky maneuvers, we managed to get some lovely shots of this wily little Westie.
